There are different ways to think about summer time… Who sits in front of the sea where fresh water wets your feet with rhythm of the waves and a frozen beer close to you. Maybe who stays in a mountain cabin to look at the sunset with a glass of red wine after a day of trekking. We don’t know what’s doing mr. Suckling but for sure he spent time tasting our red wines in a period with high temperatures.
Great scores for our wines and tasting notes after.
Thank you so much James for your time.
Alla salute!
SAN CLAUDIO II RISERVA 2019 – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano -RISERVA- – Dark chocolate, raspberries, cherries and praline on the nose. It’s full-bodied, creamy and deliciously chocolaty with ripe and polished tannins. Drink or hold. 92/100
FONTEGRANDE 2021 – A firm and slightly chewy Rosso di Montepulciano here with solid red berry and cherry fruit with some spices and a hint of iron. Juicy and tight on the palate with a structured, medium body and a pretty flavorful, savory finish. Sangiovese. Drink now. 90/100
SAN CLAUDIO II 2020 – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano – Spiced red berries and strawberries with some stones to the nose. Juicy and medium-bodied on the palate with firm tannins and a sappy, fruit-expressive finish. Drink now. 91/100
BARADIERO 2019 – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano -SELEZIONE- – Savory berries and stones with some cinnamon-like spices and a hint of vanilla. Quite fresh and vertical on the palate with nicely chewy tannins and a spicy, long finish. Pretty enticing now, but will hold well in the next five years. 92/100
